A well is nothing till you have dug one. One is never sure of finding water. I found the experience of digging a borewell filled with suspense. One pays 62 rupees for every feet the machine digs and one thinks money as the wait for finding water becomes longer. We found water at 280 feet below the ground. A lot of dry rock powder made the spectators give up on finding water at all. And when we hit water, needless to say there was immense cheering.
